Servtrans Invest SA
Servtrans Invest SA is a subsidiary of International Railway Systems, whose main field of activity is represented by railway transport.
History: Servtrans Invest S.A. is a company organised as a Railway Transport Operator (RTO) under the authority of the Romanian Ministry of Transport, Constructions and Tourism. As of September 2002,Servtrans has been an associate member of UIC (International Union of Railways). With its accession to the International Transport Committee, Servtrans acquired the right to use the ITC railway bill-of-lading in international traffic.
Servtrans Invest currently operates in approximately 93% of the Romanian Railway System and transported in 2005 about 6% of the overall quantity of goods transported on the Romanian Railways.
Services
Railway transport
Servtrans Invest ensures wagon conveyance in a complete train or wagon group system, with the observance of the parameters imposed by manways. The company has concluded railway infrastructure access agreements both with the National Railways Company CN CFR SA, and with all private infrastructure owners from Romania.
Rolling stockes rental
Servtrans Invest places at its clients’ disposal various types of rolling stock for their specific railway exploitation activities. Within its activity, the company uses the following traction rolling stock types:
• 5,100 kW and 3,400 kW electric locomotives
• 2,100 HP, 1,300 HP and 1,250 HP capacity diesel electric locomotives
• 1,250 HP hydraulic diesel locomotives.
In order to meet its own clients’ demands, Servtrans Invest uses the most various wagons: specialised wagons for transporting liquid chemical products, fuels, etc., cereals, coal, chemical fertilisers in bulk, power units, etc., covered, uncovered general use wagons, platforms. These wagons are fit to run both in the internal and external traffic.
In order to carry out its activity, Servtrans Invest uses a rolling stock park made up of 60 locomotives and over 2,500 wagons.
Scheduling wagons for loading and trains for dispatch
These activities are implicitly carried out by the company’s personnel, through the nature of the railway exploitation activity, and can be performed, upon request, according to the client’s specific requirements.
Manoeuvre in railway complexes
Servtrans Invest provides services such as:
• Wagon-manoeuvring for train marshalling-demarshalling;
• Manoeuvres for taking trains into and out of the loading/ unloading fronts;
• Wagon transfer (in manoeuvre fleets) between the CFU (factory railway) stations and the CFR stations they belong to;
• Special manoeuvres in CFR stations and current line for railway heavy equipment, work trains, unloading crushed stone and other materials.
Specialised assistance in the field of railway transport
A team of professionals are permanently at the clients’ disposal, offering any type of consultancy in the railway transports field.
Railway infrastructure exploitation
• We offer access to the Voslobeni – Chileni public railways infrastructure with a view to performing goods transport and manoeuvre operations;
• We offer access to the Rosiori – Costesti public railways infrastructure with a view to performing goods and passenger transportation and manoeuvre operations;
• In 2005 various goods were transported, such as: coal, ore, chemical products, agricultural products, mineral oil, cement, common metals, coke, pit products etc
Sales policy: One of the components of the Servtrans success is represented by our tariff policy, flexible and directly oriented towards satisfying the most demanding clients. Through the new tariff policy that Servtrans Invest applies as of this year, we are able to offer very attractive prices to our beneficiaries, imposing railway transports as the most viable variant for this service category.
Certifications: The Company Servtrans Invest is licensed as Railway Transport Operator (RTO) by the Romanian Railways Authority (AFER).
